How do I get the copylight onto the holder that ...
How do I get the copylight onto the holder that slides onto the horizontal bars? It appears the round piece should slide all the way into the round section on the edge of the copylight and then the knob secures it, but I can't get it to go past the edge of the inside hole (if that makes any sense). Thanks for your help.
Hi Gary, thanks much for your response. My brother-in-law is a machinist and he looked at it and said there were some "burrs" on the inside of the round section. He "sanded" it somehow and then the round piece does slide all the way into the round section. Thought it might help someone else....

question
Can CF bulbs be used in these light fixtures? I don't want hot bulbs.
The best I can tell, without having a CF bulb to try, is that you can. Wether you should is another question. Keep in mind that the light spectrum created by different bulbs will show up in your pictures differently, and there may not be a CF bulb that matches the light spectrum of the recommended lamps.

question
Minimum Elevation9.5 (241.3 mm) Is that from the screw? Is that .../ I want to use it with a macro lens. Not sure of these numbers
Yes, I believe it is the distance from the table to the camera mounting screw. I checked mine - it's closer to 8.75 table to screw (mine was purchased June-2014).

question
Can I use my Nikon D750 on this stand with a AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED?
Yes - I'm using it with a D800E. You'll have no problem with the D750. I'm considering putting a RRS Quick Release on the copy stand to make the process of mounting the camera faster.

question
I intend on using this for rare book photography. Do the lights in this kit provide even lighting?
I use this kit for photographing moth and butterfly specimens. Since the specimens are pinned, they sit about an inch above the base of the background. I've had an issue with shadows and have had to bring in external lamps to eliminate the shadows. As long as your subject is flat on the base, you shouldn't have too much of an issue. It is convenient that the kit allows the light arms to move around, so you can tweak them to make the lighting just right.
