- Adapts Canon EF Lens to Sony NEX Camera Body
The Adapter for Canon EF Lens to Sony NEX Mount Camera (with Iris Control) from FotodioX allows a Canon EF lens to attach to a Sony NEX camera body. Adapting a larger format lens to a smaller format sensor provides optical as well as practical advantages. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the center or "sweet spot" of the larger lens' image circle, thus providing edge-to-edge sharpness.

question
can i use this on ef-m lenses?
The Canon EF Lens to Sony NEX Mount Camera would not be compatible with the Canon EF-M lenses. B&H does not carry an EF-M to NEX adapter, nor am I aware of one on the market.

question
If I use this on the Sony A7 with full-frame Canon lenses, will I get the full-frame resolution or will it be cropped at APS-C?
You will get full frame resolution.

question
I'm new at these adapters does the iris control function control the aperture? Or does not have that function
It is a separate manual ring to control the iris in the adaptor. It acts like an aperture but the markers does not indicate what aperture it is. It does not control or communicate with the camera aperture. Great for APC-C sized sensor only and mechanical connection from the lens to the camera only. Have darkening at the corners for Full Frame sensor.

question
Can I use the adapter for Sony Full-frame E mount ?
You can, but you will loose auto focus capability. However, this product is inferior, I would not recommend it to anyone. It is poorly constructed. Its internal screws became loose and it fell apart within the first few days of usage. I had to glue it together to finish my safari photo shoot!

question
Will this adapter work on my a6000? Also, how quick is the autofocus on this adapter?
I have a Canon Mark III. I purchased the adapter, but decided to return it. I purchased a new Sony A7 camera and bought it to try to use my canon lens. For me the response was too slow to capture the image.
