The Adapter for Minolta MD/MC/SR Rokkor Mount Lens to Sony NEX Mount Camera from FotodioX allows a Minolta MD/MC/SR Rokkor Mount lens to attach to a Sony NEX camera body. Adapting a larger format lens to a smaller format sensor provides optical as well as practical advantages. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the center or "sweet spot" of the larger lens' image circle, thus providing edge-to-edge sharpness.
Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and long lasting performance.
- The leaf spring design in the adapter holds the lens tight to the camera body ensuring there is no play between the camera and the lens.
- The adapter also has a removeable tripod mount to help bear the weight of heavier lenses.

Works fine with my Sony A7R
Bought this to use with my Minolta manual focus lenses, a 24mm, 50mm, 58mm, 135mm, and 300mm primes. Also using the MD 28-85mm, 35-70mm, and 70-210mm zoom/macros. Adapter works fine but it is a bit tighter than I would like when attaching the lens to the adapter. Image quality is very good to great depending on lens used. Particularly like the foot that allows me to mount the camera+lens combo on a tripod that takes the downward torque off the camera body, which can be significant with the longer lenses. My copy works as advertised and I would recommend it to those on a budget.

Excellent MD to E-Mount Adapter
I bought one of these so I could attach a set of Minolta MD lenses I inherited from my grandfather to my Sony NEX-6. It fits both the camera and the lenses perfectly, and I have found no slop or movement whatsoever in either connection. The build quality is excellent. The release mechanism always works perfectly with a press of the release button, and it makes an audible click when the lens locks in place. The tripod foot is a nice addition, as the sometimes weighty glass can shift the center of gravity way in front of the NEX's petite body. It comes in a little cloth storage bag. I highly recommend this product.

Old minolta glass revived
Main goal was to use my favorite 58 mm macro lens and a 135 mm lens. These are Vietnam era purchases while I was wearing lots of green clothing. I have 2 other lens, but time will tell if I try these combinations. The adaptors work well- lose auto focus and you have to set your own exposures. Have not been able to use either adaptor because of the cold weather outside. Both fit well- no trouble taking on and off the camera. I have a sony Alpha 6000. There are cheaper versions and much more expensive adaptors- I am very satisfied with my choice. Nice price points. Shipping and delivery was quick.

Adapter on a Sony A7RII
Excellent product, well engineered resulting in a perfect fit to the camera (Sony A7R2) and lens. Tried my old Minolta lenses; MC Rokkor 58mm f1.2, MC Tele Rokkor 135mm f2.8, MD Rokkor 28mm f2.8 and finally a Tele Rokkor TD 300mm f4.5. All worked without a hitch, set shutter speed and aperture manually and the button to take a picture. The only lens that I have not tried yet is a Auto Rokkor PF 58mm f1.4 from my old SR7 camera, the pre-view lever interferes with the adapter's tripod mount. I think this tripod mount can be easily removed using a Allen wrench. Full marks for this adapter

Works perfectly
There's not much to this. It accepts an MD mount and mounts perfectly to my Sony a6000. It is not the slightest bit loose or worrisome. It comes with a tripod mount, which is handy dandy and screws off if you don't want it. I guess the only negative thing I can think of is that the alignment dot is red, whereas the dot on my camera is white. That confused me for about 2 seconds. It works perfectly and is exactly what it claims to be. Perfect for adapting manual focus lenses.

Lots of fun to have with your old lenses
Perfect for the price. Lenses match perfectly. There is a TINY bit of difference on the distance to the sensor (Sony A7, here), so an image taken with a 28mm Minolta and a 28mm Sony (native) will not frame EXACTLY the same image, but it's really close. Close enough to not bother, since the adapter is so cheap.

Best fit for the price!!!
This adapter has outstanding build quality. My older minolta glass locks in tighter on this adapter than with my more expensive metabones adapter and is half the cost of a novoflex adapter. One thing to be aware of is that there is loose powder coating dust inside the adapter. Anyone buying this adapter should vacuum and thoroughly clean the interior surfaces BEFORE attaching it to your camera. Failure to do this will make a big mess on your senor. Once it's cleaned this is a top notch adapter for running old rokkor glass on the amazing Sony a7s ii body.

Minolta MD/MC/SR Rooor Mount Lens
Being a long time user of Minolta products, my favorite still is the Minolta XD 11 Camera with all of it's lenses. Now having a Alpha 3000 Sony Camera I wanted to use my old lenses. The adapter really works well. The availability of using the tri-pod attachment is great.
