FotodioX EOS-EOSM-PRO-AUTO Overview

The Canon EF / EF-S Mount Lens to Canon EF-M Mount Camera Pro Adapter from FotodioX is an all-metal adapter that allows you to use your Canon EOS DSLR lenses with Canon EOS M mirrorless bodies. The adapter features electronic components for full communication between the body and most lenses, enabling autofocus and giving you control of the aperture on your camera.

Made entirely of metal, the adapter is designed to allow focusing at infinity or beyond regardless of the lens being used. Chrome-plated brass mounts help ensure a snug fit with no wiggling or gap between components. A red dot on top of the barrel mimics the one on the camera body and helps you mount the lens correctly.

The product worked as an adapter for my camera as designed. The screws holding it together worked loose causing my lens to wobble. Im sure if this was missed at quality control or they need to ad a lock tight type adhesive to the screws before shipping. B & H replaced my adapter without hesitation.

It attaches to all my EF lenses onto the mirrorless (M50) with ease, and works with them just as well as my DSLR.

An EF-S lens originallly used on the Canon Rebel T6 will work on this Fotodiox adapter for use with a Canon EF-M mount mirrorless camera.

The Canon EOS-Mount Lens to Canon EOS M-Mount Camera adapter would be for adapting Canon EF/EF-S lenses onto Canons M Mirrorless cameras. This adapter would not let you use EF-S lenses on a full frame camera. Im not aware of an adapter on the market that would allow you to mount EF-S lenses on a full frame camera such as the 5D. Even if you were to find one, the image circle of an EF-S lens will not cover the entire sensor.

Is this adaptor full compatible with a Canon M6 Mark II using a Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC Lens for Canon EF? I recently bought a Viltrox EF-EOS M2 0.71x Lens Mount Adapter for Canon EF-Mount Lens to Canon EF-M-Mount Camera and is giving me issues with autofocus and shows an ugly vignette in viewfinder and photos as well.
