Would like to purchase one of these - 90W or 120W - which one and what’s the advantage of higher wattage? Faster charge?
If your computer requires more than 90W but no more than 120W, you will need the 120W universal power charger to charge your computer. If your computer requires a 90W power charger or less, you can get the 90W charger.

Does this adapter work for Lenovo X1-Carbon? And if yes, what output voltage am I suppose to select it to?
It won't work because the original adapter has a special connector type for this laptop, unfortunately this universal adapter does not come with it.
