23.5" Professional Camera Slider is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Investment for the price point I purchased this product to add to library of moves using a Canon DSLR. It is a simple straight forward to setup and attached either the legs or to a tripod. Nice compromise for a short slider. Setting up the shot is important to make full use of this small range. As always with a new piece of equipment, you need to practice with the tool. But the learning curve on this is not that steep. Using this with Velbon PH-368 Fluid head. You can mount camera directly on slider, but it will limit your moves. The fluid head adds a flexibility that is worth the small investment. I look forward to using it more in future shoots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For the money - So Far, So Real Good I've had a 64 slider for some time. Most of the time though I'm a one-person operation and usually don't have the time to set it up with 2 C-stands, especially for a short slide taking 3-5 seconds. So, this tripod mounted 23.5 slider was a great option. The Glide Gear DEV 235 is constructed well and helps get smooth slides at shorter lengths. One concern I have going forward is the fact that it doesn't have ball bearings like my longer slider. However, one pro regarding the lack of bearings is that it's very quiet. So, I'd recommend this to anyone else on a budget with the same needs as mine. Regarding the transaction and shipping - hey, it's good ol' B&H, so the price was right and extra-expedited shipping was fair & fast.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good starter slider with one fault In short, it's a nicely build, could produce relatively smooth shot, light, with bag, but with one (potential) fault (as point out by others as well): When you put a little bit more weight on it (I use Panasonic GH3 + 12-35x Lens+ Velbon PH368 Head + Manfrotto 234 = 1945gm), the carriage that will produce a shaky slide if you try to do a pan/tilt movment while sliding, and that could be fustruation. For me, I put my hand on the carriage while shooting and add stabilization in post.Bottomline is: Slider add AMAZING value and take your video to another level. I simply cant shoot video without a slider again. I understanding spending $+ (which you start getting quality slider) for a slider is a lot for most people who is not making money with it, so even with the fault mention above I still gave it a 4 stars rating. The value you got from using a slider simply exceed the potential fault.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pick the right head I'm happy with the slider, but made the mistake of putting on the wrong head. I initially bought the Slik SH-705E 3-way pan head, but the height was only 3.75 inches. The low grips kept banging into the slider and the camera was so low that the slider rail kept getting in the shot. I tried again with the Oben PD-117 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head. This one was a little more expensive, but had a height of 5 inches which made all the difference.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A Little Wiggle This a a good slider for the price. However, there is a lot of play with this slider. If you are sliding left to right or right to left the camera has a tendency to rock forward & backwards. If you anticipate this movement you can work around this issue, but it gets a little harder to avoid if you are using a tripod head & trying to parallax. I let our female videographers use this slider on weddings because it's easy to pick up & carry, and small enough for shooting in crowded rooms. If you want a better slider you're going to have to pay 5x more. Good luck in your search!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy it now... yes now! Been reading reviews for a good not that expensive slider and I kept on coming back on glide gear sliders. The construction really feels solid. It needs a little bit of grease and practice though but that is not an issue. It came with a bag so carrying it is not a problem. I am very satisfied with this product. And of course B&H fast shipping is a Plus!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good piece of gear for the price This thing is pretty light and easy to carry around. I had this in mind as I do most of my shooting while hiking or out in the backcountry. The case that comes with it is decent quality and houses the slider and feet without being bulky or uncomfortable to carry on your back. As for the slider itself, it seems to work well so far. The slides are fairly smooth though they are subject to the user's finesse. I've noticed that the actual sliding unit runs very close to my tripod base plate which sometimes causes the slide to get a little stuck. I have a feeling that I'm going to need to pick up a ball mount to house on the sliding unit because screwing a camera directly onto it is a little cumbersome. Overall this piece of gear is pretty good for the price and has fulfill all of my expectations so far.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Get what you pay for I use this product with a Canon T3i. It can get the job done with a real steady hand and a few tries, but as expected with sliders you get what you pay for. Its not the smoothest ride, but this is dirt cheap and packs down to very little which are all pluses.
