has anyone else had trouble transferring files off the tablet SINCE the LATEST android update? 6.0.1 since that, I am unable to view files when connecting tablet to computer. ?? thanks. also-----does anyone have a direct and simple address or way to contact google specifically about this? thanks!

This is not a common issue; however some users have had success going into settings, selecting storage, and then USB computer connection. Uncheck, and then Recheck the Media Device (MTP) box.

i know this is discontinued but i am still looking for support. and, i am still HOPING they would reinstate it! it is the most awesome tablet. anyway-here is my question-i'd really really appreciate help! thanks!having trouble taking things OFF my tablet, like transferring photos. have tried several wifi apps, and have tried directly with a usb cable to laptop. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO TRANSFER files OFF the tablet onto a computer?THANK YOU.

Sharon - the best and easiest way to transfer files from your tablet to your computer would be with a USB cable. It's the most direct and fastest way and you wouldn't need any special software.

My Nexus 7 is frozen what do I do? I was playing a game and closed the cover to go answer the door and now it wont do anything, can't get out of the game can't shut it down what do I do?

Press the power button and both volume keys for several seconds. The computer screen will eventually blink off. Continue to hold until you see the Android recovery logo and the large Start selection at the top of the screen.

Can the NFC function on the Nexus7 tablet be used without having a data plan? I use Sprint for my phone and Galaxy Tab3 (which doesn't support NFC) and they currently do no offer any tablets with NFC, hence my looking at the Nexus 7. I am looking for a way to use the NFC to control a Canon Vixia remotely (in the same room) (and in instances where there is no wifi available.)
