Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge improvement for my recording station! I have heard that these are great pads, and needed some for my M-Audio CX8's. This helped to reduce the bass rumble on my desk and get a better reference. They are just a tiny bit narrower than the width of the speaker but that is not a problem. I am not using the leveling pad that comes with each base pad, as I want the speaker to tilt slightly upwards. Great buy, and I used B&H because they had them for $ dollars less than everyone else!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from MoPads (XL) I bought some MoPads XL recently to have something to set my monitor speakers on. The manufacturers claim that they will decouple your speakers from the surface on which they're sitting, offering more sonic clarity. I cannot attest to this as there are so many factors involved...mainly the acoustics of your room. I read somewhere that for someone to successfully absorb or reduce bass frequencies you need material that is big (wide) enough that it corresponds to the wavelength of the frequencies in mind. If that is true you would need A LOT of material to really decouple or absorb bass. Mid and high ranges follow the same rule and therefore are not much of a problem. I'm not sure if all that is true, but it seems accurate. I can say that I haven't noticed any difference in a mitigation of bass on my desk (the desk still vibrates with bass, just as much as it did before). It should also be noted that my monitors were manufactured with a very thin piece of foam on the bottom. So why did I buy these MoPad XLs? I purchased them because before my speakers were just resting on books that aren't mine. In the past I've used books, but sometimes it's hard to find 2 books of the same size, so I decided to buy something made for speakers, and if they just so happen to improve the sound then great. I honestly can't say that they improve the sound or not... it sounds about the same. However, the biggest advantage to the Mopads are that you have quite a few options on how to use them (to change the angle) of the speaker. This is the main reason I got them. On top of that, I was worried if my monitors (6 lbs. a piece) would sit on them securely, and they do :) My main problem with these are the fact that you're paying $ for about a cubic foot of foam, just doesn't seem right. So all in all.... the Mopads may make your speakers sound a little better (based on room acoustics, speaker build, angle of the speakers). The Mopads are great for just a resting surface, especially considering your angle options! They're overpriced

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressive. I've owned multiple sets of the MoPADs and they have always shown great improvement to the clarity of monitors but never anything super large. Something like HS80m monitors.. The difference is noticeable but small. I recently upgraded to Event Opals and the difference made by the MoPAD XLs was honestly mindblowing. the lows and low mids cleared up instantly!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for even large speakers I was a little worried when I purchased these isolation pads that they would not be able to hold my KRK V8S4s which are 8 inch speakers. However, they have absolutely no problems even if they are placed on stands. However, the bottom of my speakers curves up so the actual base is smaller than the width of the speaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pads I'm using these with JBL LSR 305 reference monitors. I have a small music wrok station and the room is far from an ideal sound room. These isoltate the monitors and there are no unwanted rumbles form the low end. I especially like that there are several options for tilting the monitors either up or down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I like the versatility these foam pads have with different angles. Being able to angle the speakers up or down will make these easier to put in any home studio no matter where the speakers are or what height they are at.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy transaction, Quick shipping, Fair price. Bought this product to separate my Rokit 6 speakers from my studio desk. Does the job, I don't have the equipment to recheck the sound of the room but it gives me a better piece of mind.
