The RadioPopper Nano Receiver is part of a wireless radio triggering system that can fire your flash at distances up to 1,750' depending on the prevailing conditions. The 4-channel Nano receiver features simple push button operation and is compatible with any flash with shoe mount or a PC outlet via included 3.5 mm sync cord. DSLRs can sync up to 1/250 second and leaf shutter cameras up to 1/500 second. The Nano gets approximately 75-100 hours of running time from the single, included CR123A battery. An LED gauge indicates remaining power. It requires separate purchase of a Nano, PX or JrX transmitter for use.

what do I need to use the tx with slt-a65 and rx with hvl-f42am? ( besides the tx & rx)
The transmitter has a standard hotshoe. How can I connect it to Nikon dc-2 camera plug to remotely trigger the shutter?
You would connect a remote cable with the DC-2 connector to this receiver into the miniphone jack on the side of it. One such cable you can use is the Vello 3.5mm Remote Shutter Release Cable for Nikon DC-2 Cameras, B&H # VERCCN235. Please see the image below for reference.

The RadioPopper Nano Receiver is a radio wireless sync and does not work with an optical slave.

Can I still sync Nikon SB900/800 remote flashes thru the camera when using the Nano to fire them?
A RadioPopper Nano Transmitter B&H # RANANOT would need to be on the camera's hot shoe to fire any Nikon flash attached to a Nano Receiver off camera. You would not be able to use an on camera flash in conjunction with the Nano Transmitter.

There aren't any pictures showing the bottom of the receiver. Nor description indicating there's a thread to mount the receiver to a stand. The picture does show it mounted to a stand as indicated in the image in use 1 ...Do I need an adapter to mount to my stand or does it have a thread on bottom?
The bottom has a standard thread. It works fine
