CVPBLOX Variable Pad with Mute is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works great with a couple of caveats I bought this to use in my small trio when I use a headset mic. It works just as advertised but be aware of two things-the volume control is not stepped and it is real easy to inadvertently turn it up or down, especially if it's in a pocket. Second, since it is a passive device, there is often a very noticeable thump when you turn the mute on or off, especially if you're using a phantom powered mic. I also have a ProCo Power Mute that is completely silent when muting, but eats batteries like crazy. One other note for RAPCO, you should offer a belt clip for this device.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from THE CVPBLOX VARIABLE PAD DOES NOT ADD DB The cvpblox does not add gain unto itself, you have to set the channel gain to a high level then use the cvpblox in line to vary the microphone volume that is set by mixer channel gain. To add gain to a microphone input you will need a pre amp.
