During its GeForce RTX: Game On virtual event, NVIDIA announced the GeForce RTX 3060, adding to its already-impressive lineup of graphics cards. The RTX 3060 takes full advantage of the Ampere architecture, offering hardware ray-tracing capabilities and support for DLSS at a lower price point.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 features 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a 192-bit memory interface. With 13 shader-TFLOPs, 25 RT-TFLOPs, and 101 tensor-TFLOPs (to power NVIDIA DLSS), the RTX 3060 has twice the performance and 10 times the ray-tracing performance of the GTX 1060, making it an ideal choice if you’re looking to get a solid 60 frames per second (fps) with RTX on for your favorite PC titles. As mentioned before, the RTX 3060 will support DLSS, which is powered by Tensor Cores. DLSS boosts frame rates while generating crisp game images, giving you the performance headroom needed to maximize ray-tracing settings and increase output resolutions. More than 25 games already support DLSS and more game developers are taking advantage of it.
The RTX 3060 also features NVIDIA Reflex technology, which reduces system latency or input lag, making games more responsive, a must for competitive, fast-paced games, such as first-person shooters, fighting, racing, and more. NVIDIA Broadcast is a suite of audio and video AI enhancements, including virtual backgrounds, motion capture, and advanced noise reduction, perfect for livestreaming and video calls.
NVIDIA says that the GeForce RTX 3060 will be available in late February 2021.

Any idea as to when these cards (or any cards) will be released through B&H?? It has been months since a restock and other outlets have already released their stock of 3060's.
Hello,
Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA on these cards just yet. However, any updates would be made through our B&H E-Mail Newsletter, where all new items are announced. We're sorry for any inconvenience.
Really, really looking forward to the release of this card. Been hunting for a 3060 Ti for months with no luck. Hoping I can snag one of these.
So what makes this different from RTX 3080?
The 3060 pares down performance to hit a more affordable price point compared to a card like the 3080. The 3080 has enough power to handle 4K gaming with ray tracing. The 3060 on the other hand is better suited to 1080p and 1440p gaming. It's still very good, just not as good as the higher-end 3080.
I would like to see some comparisons between different RTX 3060’s and the 2060 line. Also more information on when this will go on to pre-sale.
Compared to the 2060, the 3060 claims to offer twice the performance plus a 10x boost to ray tracing performance.
I think that twice & 10X (in the press release) was comparing the RTX 3060 to the GTX 1060 (which is several years old & had no dedicated RT cores)
The 3060 will be be slower than the 3060ti (3584 cores vs 4864 in the 3060ti) but obviously faster than a 2060
Performance should be < the 2070. (the 3060ti is slightly > (or =) to a 2070)
So my guess; performance between the 2060 and the 2070 is the most likely.
