Huawei, widely known for smartphones, is also a big player in consumer tech, business products, solutions, and services, and continues to expand every day. While we’re no strangers to the company’s line of MateBooks and MediaPads, Huawei has taken a strong approach with the MateBook X Pro, offering a revised design, enhanced performance, and lightweight portability. Currently, the MateBook X Pro is available in two models with 8th-generation Intel® processors: one with a Core™ i5, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB NVMe SSD; and the other with a Core™ i7, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB NVMe SSD, and most importantly, an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card. Users who are working with image and video processing and editing, as well as casual gamers, should consider the second model with the dedicated graphics card.
Differences aside, both MateBook X Pro models feature a 13.9" multi-touch display with 3000 x 2000 resolution, 100% sRGB color gamut, 450-nit maximum brightness, and 1500:1 contrast ratio. Moreover, it has a 91% screen-to-body ratio for a nearly borderless viewing experience. Thanks to Corning Gorilla glass with anti-fingerprint coating, the display has added durability and can also keep pesky smudges at bay. Other notable integrated features include quad speakers, a 2-in-1 fingerprint reader and power button, 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-A, Type-C, and Thunderbolt™ 3 connectivity. Unlike most notebooks, the webcam on the MateBook X Pro is built into the keyboard and pops up only when you want it to, keeping your privacy, private.
It seems like Huawei’s MateBook X Pro has been getting a lot of positive coverage lately. What are your thoughts on it? Let us know in the Comments section, below.
