Rotolight has just announced the Titan X2, a 2x1 RGBWW LED light fixture with just about everything you need built in, and with a very modern look that’s sure to impress your client. The brand that became a favorite for its well-made ring lights and circular on-camera lights has stepped things way up.

The Titan X2 is a soft light that offers the full RGBWW color gamut and five lighting modes: CCT, HSI, RGBW, XY, and Filter modes. Included among these modes are hue, saturation and diffusion control, 1300 industry-standard built-in gels, and an award-winning suite of CineSFX special effects (designed with Stefan Lange, FX designer on Batman, Skyfall, and Tomb Raider).

The light features a 2800 - 10000K color temperature with +/- 5% green-magenta adjustment, with TLCI consistently at 98 and CRI at 95, and it’s flicker free at any shutter angle or intensity.

At a 3.3' distance, the Titan X2 delivers a very high brightness of 15,525 lux at 3200K, and 16,800 lux at 5600K. With 50% diffusion, the figures are almost the same; and with full diffusion, the 5600K brightness at 3.3' is 10,425. At a 29.5' distance, you still get brightness of around 200-400 lux. For larger arrays, multiple units can be stacked. The beam angle of the light is electronically adjustable between 68 and 150˚.

The Titan X2 also introduces SmartSoft technology, which allows you to electronically adjust diffusion, focus, and spread without the need for gels. Another major feature available at the push of a few buttons is high speed sync flash (1/8000) with zero recycle time. With this feature, the Titan X2 can be a go-to light for film and video production, as well as high-end studio and portrait photography.

For control, the Titan X2 features a 5-pin DMX port and a built-in Elinchrom Skyport receiver. The light can be wirelessly triggered from up to 650’ when combining the integrated Skyport receiver with the optional Rotolight HSS transmitter. Additionally, mobile app Bluetooth control and LumenRadio control are planned for Q1 of 2020.
