Solid State Logic Announces Four New Products – Including a Next-Gen Analog Mixing Console

Solid State Logic and their affiliate brands Slate Digital and JH Audio announced four new products from their showcase at NAMM 2026: the Origin EVO, UMD 192, VMS ML-2A, and Jessie. Let’s take a look at what makes each one special.

The 16/32-channel SSL Origin EVO is SSL’s next generation analog recording and mixing console, carrying on the legacy of the iconic SSL 4000 series while adding the latest in hybrid workflow technology. The in-line Origin Evo delivers sound that has permeated hit records since the 1980s with the integration of legendary SSL modules like the authentic E-series dynamics section and bus compressors along with the inclusion of cutting-edge mic preamps and EQs on each channel strip. The Origin EVO advances SSL recording technology with an expanded rack-based modular center section that offers an adaptable layout and DAW integration, making sure any engineer has complete control of the situation in any environment.

The SSL UMD 192 is a high-end, high-capacity USB digital audio interface that meets the demands of professional live sound, broadcast, and studio environments with full seamless integration of MADI, Dante, and USB. The UMD 192 supports bidirectional audio between any two of these formats while the third can receive a split feed, making it ideal for bridging together multiple MADI-connected devices through a Dante network or for ultra-high-channel-count recording via USB. The UMD192 is perfect for networks with its interoperable flexibility, ultra-low Dante latency, full range of sample rate support, and dual-redundant connection capability.

The Slate Digital VMS ML-2A is a small-diaphragm cardioid condenser modeling microphone that comes in a factory-matched pair. The included Slate Digital Virtual Microphone System plug-in allows access to an extensive virtual microphone locker directly in your DAW where you can instantly audition vintage, rare, and obscure mic models from the workhorse SM57 to the vaunted U67. The ML-2A has rugged construction, high-headroom with a -20dB pad, a gold-sputtered diaphragm, and ultra-low self-noise rated at 16dB.

The JH Audio Jessie is a universal 12mm dynamic driver in-ear monitor designed to provide professional audio quality at an impressively affordable price point. They’re perfect for musicians and performers who perform in live bands and churches with their full natural sound and extended bass and treble frequency response. The JH Audio Jessie is a dependable monitoring solution for entry-level performers, smaller stages, and general everyday use.
