Updating last year’s unique iOS-dedicated, pocketable mobile camera, DxO is releasing a new version of the ONE digital camera, now fitted with Wi-Fi for more flexibility and remote control. The ONE, which can still be connected directly to an iPhone or iPad via the Lightning connector, can now also be paired over an existing wireless network or by enabling a direct Wi-Fi connection, which can be initiated via the Lightning connection to the phone. Once connected, the ONE is now the perfect compact tool for remote shooting applications, ranging from astrophotography to group selfies, with shooting controls available in the dedicated DxO app.

Beyond the new wireless remote control capabilities, the DxO ONE retains the same imaging capabilities as its predecessor, including the impressive 20.2MP 1" BSI-CMOS sensor to realize truly impressive image quality with the unique SuperRAW capture mode, sensitivity to ISO 51200, and Full HD video recording capabilities. The self-contained design incorporates a 32mm equivalent f/1.8 wide-angle prime lens, along with an OLED touchscreen, internal lithium-ion battery, and microSD card slot.

In addition to the updated DxO ONE, the company has also released a slew of accessories to complement handling and reap the benefits of the new Wi-Fi connectivity. The Outdoor Shell, which is available in a range of colors, is a dedicated protective case for remotely using your ONE in water or on land. A submersible back door, with a 150’ depth rating, and a splash-resistant door, which retains access and use of the OLED touchscreen, are included, and the case integrates a 1/4"-20 mounting thread and 30.5mm filter threads. If working without the Outdoor Shell attached, an Optical Adapter has also been released, which permits use of 30.5mm threaded accessories, such as filters or add-on lenses, directly on the ONE camera. Additionally, a dedicated protective Zippered Pouch is now available, to guard the ONE during storage or travel, and a mini Arca-type compatible Stand has been released for stable hands-free use of the camera.
