Great news for all you outdoor photographers! Lowepro has just announced two new backpacks designed for outdoor imaging enthusiasts: the Photo Active BP 200 AW and the Photo Active BP 300 AW. Each pack is a lightweight carrier that’s equal parts convenient, rugged, and secure.
They key difference between the two packs is volume. The 200 offers a total of 22L of space, while the 300 gives you 25L of room. What that translates to in the real world is the ability to carry an additional lens, a slightly larger laptop, or bigger hydration system. Otherwise, the two packs retain the same features, highlights, and protections.
Speaking of highlights and features: Both packs utilize Lowepro’s QuickShelf system, which allows you to customize the interior to fit your needs. The removable QuickShelf dividers can be configured to best accommodate your gear, whether you’re shooting with a DSLR, pro mirrorless, or even a drone. And, so that you can quickly access your gear, each pack comes with dual side doors that allow you to get the gear you need easily. No more digging through a crowded bag for that lens or accessory. In addition to your imaging gear, there’s plenty of room for personal items and even a dedicated pouch for your laptop. In addition to the many compartments, each has attachment points for trekking poles or a monopod.
In terms of construction, the backpacks live up to Lowepro’s reputation for producing rugged carriers. Each pack is made from lightweight 210-denier triple ripstop nylon and a high-abrasion 500-denier polyester that’s durable as all get-out. They’re IP67 rated and utilize anti-weather technologies to keep your gear cool and gear.
