Unveiled: MeFoto Air Tripods—Lighter, Smaller Camera Supports

0Share

MeFoto, best known for its multi-colored and multi-functional line of travel tripods, is proud to announce the next step in travel tripod evolution: The MeFoto Air Collection. With the implementation of a brand new “HyperLock” telescoping leg design, Mefoto has managed to reduce the size and weight of the WalkAbout, BackPacker, RoadTrip, and GlobeTrotter Tripods and Monopods, making them easier to carry and more user-friendly than ever before. The new, time-saving HyperLock design allows the user to unlock, adjust, and lock each leg from a single control point on the leg’s foot, ensuring a quick setup for the shots you just can’t miss. Another welcome addition to the series is the inclusion of a built-in, telescoping selfie stick, which utilizes the included ball head for precision camera or smartphone positioning. In a conscious nod to selfie enthusiasts, MeFoto has even included a new Bluetooth shutter remote and a versatile smartphone adapter.

In keeping with the new user-friendly design, MeFoto has added intuitive icons near each point of adjustment on the tripod, allowing for simple operation that doesn’t require pouring through a lengthy user’s manual. A useful feature from the standard MeFoto series is the inclusion of an arca-type compatible ball head, designed to use industry-standard arca-type quick-release plates, making finding spare and replacement plates easier than with comparable proprietary quick-release systems.

For users who want their gear to be as equally expressive as it is functional, the MeFoto Air series is available in 7 different anodized colors, including Black, Blue, Green, Orange, Purple, Red, and Titanium, which not only offer a sense of style, but also provide some resistance to everyday wear and tear.
