In this B&H Photo Event Space video, photographer and Nikon tech guru Alex Podstawski demonstrates how to use Nikon Speedlights in several lighting situations. Topics Podstawski discusses are color-balance issues when mixing flash and ambient light, controlling light direction, and the importance of proper positioning of lights, using fill flash with backlit sunlight, hard light versus soft light, light-to-subject distances, and how to improve your lighting technique through the use of Speedlight modifiers.

I have to agree with Jacqueline, the presenter spoke too fast, It was hard to follow him, Many times he spoke of something and was trying to point at a display but we could not see what he was doing. B&H has always provided very good video information but this time I'm very disappointed in this video.
Watched this in the hope of acquiring a better understanding of how to use my SB-800 flash in a variety of situations, but dissapointed with the result.
Presenter spoke WAY too fast!!! Hard to keep up or even grasp what he was talking about. Would have liked a step by step explanation of two or three real life scenarios presented at a slower pace and clearly so I could make notes without having to rewind multiple times. Such as....shooting someone outside in bright sunlight. What were steps taken and settings? Shooting someone indoors without all the bells and whistles and just my SB-800 flash. What were the steps taken and settings?
Camera angle was awful. Whenever the speaker referred to a particular slide or was pointing to something on the slide, we could not see. Did not need to see the pedastal with the laptop. Maybe pull back so we could also see the screen while he was talking?
Referred to all speedlights except the SB-800. Why???
