Gigabyte Aero and Sabre Notebooks Offer High-Level Performance

0Share

Gigabyte has released four new notebooks that offer high-level performance, different design options, and unique configurations to meet your needs. All four models come outfitted with a 2.8 GHz Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ quad-core processor, SSD storage, and 16GB of DDR4 memory to keep up with demanding workloads. The first two notebooks are part of the Aero line that features a thin chassis, and the remaining two fall in the Sabre category, designed for everyday use with the capability for light gaming.

The two Aero notebooks are 0.8" thick and come equipped with a 512GB M.2 SSD and a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card with 6GB of GDDR5 video memory—allowing you to game on the go. The major differences between the two are the size of the screen and port connection. You can choose between a 15.6" display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 or a 14" display, offering a native resolution of 2560 x 1440. The 15.6" version is the premium model of the two, featuring a 5mm bezel display, which enables it to remain virtually in the same size category as an Aero with a 14" display with only a 0.8" difference in width. Aside from display sizes, the connectivity difference is a USB 3.1 Type-C port with 10 Gb/s transfer speeds located on the 14" Aero, while the 15.6" Aero grants you a Thunderbolt™ 3 port that provides 40 Gb/s bandwidths, daisy-chaining with up to six Thunderbolt 3 devices, and more. Moving away from the mobile Aero line, we’ll next explore the Sabre notebooks that are designed for once-in-a-while trips, weighing more like a typical notebook at 5.5 lbs.

The two Sabre notebooks are built with a 15.6" display, and you have the option of an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050TI graphics system to power this display. The GeForce GTX 1050 is armed with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM, and the GeForce GTX 1050TI sports 4GB of GDDR5 video memory. The unique feature of the Sabre line is a dual storage system that provides ample space for a large multimedia library, quick boot times, and nearly instant access to data. It has a 256GB M.2 SSD, which utilize PCIe lanes rather than SATA interfaces, and a hard drive with a capacity of 1TB. With all the choices out of the way, let me tell you that the four systems also include 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, card reader, and other typical equipment. Whichever system you choose, let us know which model best suits your lifestyle.
