Always seeking new ways to put reliable, high-performance microphones in the hands of the many (newbies, hobbyists, and industry professionals—all are welcome), RØDE is now offering the TX-M2 handheld wireless microphone from its RØDELink Performer Kit as a separate item, making it an ideal addition to any RØDELink Newsshooter Kit, Filmmaker Kit, or individual RX-CAM receiver. Forget about unending feet of mic cable for your next event, just snag a TX-M2 and use it wirelessly with your RØDELink receiver!
Not your average condenser mic, the TX-M2 boasts low handling noise and a maximum SPL of 140 dB! You'd have to speak with the power of a jet engine to distort the capsule, so don't worry about getting too close to the mic. It's 35 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range ensures accurate capture of any voice, and the signal is 128-bit encrypted for secure transmission. Speaking of transmission, the TX-M2 utilizes Series II 2.4 GHz digital technology and a bottom-mounted diversity antenna to provide a transmission range of up to 328 feet. Power it via the included LB-1 lithium-ion battery, two AA batteries, or a USB connection, which also recharges the LB-1.
Operating the TX-M2 is straightforward and efficient, thanks to a digital display and easy-to-access buttons. On the mic's exterior, you'll find a mute switch and a power button with a status LED that doubles as a low-battery indicator. The pair button, display, and micro-USB port reside safely beneath the battery compartment cover.
How does this integrate with your RØDELink receiver? Just power on your receiver, press its pair button, then choose a channel. Next, turn on the TX-M2 and hold the pair button under the battery cover. Done! The TX-M2 will display the same channel number selected on the receiver, so you know pairing was successful.
For producing social media content, interviews, presentations, or special events, the TX-M2 is a great match for your existing RØDE RX-CAM receiver in your RØDELink Newsshooter or RØDELink Filmmaker Kit. Swing by the B&H website to check it out!
