Lectrosonics Announces Future-Proof 900 MHz Digital Hybrid Wireless Mic Systems

1Share

In response to wireless mic frequencies being squeezed in the United States, Lectrosonics is expanding its product offerings to take advantage of the unlicensed 900 MHz frequency band, as an alternative to the soon-to-be illegal 600 MHz band. The company is introducing the Digital Hybrid HHa-941 handheld transmitter, HMa-941 UHF plug-on transmitter, SMVQV-941 and SMV-941 miniature wideband transmitters, and SRc-941 camera slot dual UHF receiver. The new products are analogous to the HHa, HMa, SMVQV, and SMV transmitters, and the SRc receiver, but are adapted to the special requirements of the expanded 941 to 959 MHz band to continue delivering the same great performance and feature sets that have made these systems successful with audio professionals.

If you'd like to know how the FCC wireless spectrum auction outcome affects your wireless microphone systems and how to prepare for the transition away from the 600 MHz band, you may want to read Andrew Eisele's highly informative article about changes with the FCC rules and the new spectrum bandwidth. It's nice that Lectrosonics wants to sell us new equipment to deal with the changing FCC rules.  Too bad they aren't showing their loyalty and offering rebates to existing owners.  Audio-Technica, Sennheiser and Shure are doing that.  We own a Lectrosonics system that is now becoming valueless and I'm not happy with their response.
