Wi Digital AudioMatrix X8: Far Out Wireless Multicasting!

0Share

When you deal with audio for live events, you need hassle-free setup and reliable signal transmission. Wi Digital has created the AudioMatrix X8 to do that and so much more. At its core, you’ll find a 2.4 GHz stereo digital wireless audio system; being in the 2.4 GHz range means you don’t have to worry about all the FCC regulations for wireless frequencies. It not only transmits uncompressed 16-bit/48 kHz signal, it does it with low latency (2 to 4 ms) and at a long range of up to 750 feet. It can even multicast to as many as 50 receivers. Unbox the system and power it on; automatic pairing and linking provide immediate out-of-the-box functionality.

You get one transmitter, two receivers, an 8 dBi powered antenna, two 5 dBi passive antennas, tripod stands, mounting brackets, power adapters, multiple cables, and a carrying case. Power options include an internal 8-hour rechargeable battery, USB connection, AC power adapter, and more. The 8 dBi powered antenna can be mounted on the transmitter or receiver and is omnidirectional to combat wireless interference and configuration challenges. If a range beyond 750 feet is needed, you can easily daisy-chain multiple units and create complex lines of transmission to get around barriers and get to other floors.

The transmitter and receivers feature convenient connectivity. The transmitter’s unbalanced 3.5mm stereo mini-jack input is ideal for use with mobile devices such as smartphones and laptops. Two balanced mini-XLR input jacks can be used with the supplied mini-XLR to XLR cables for connection with a mixing console or high-end playback device. Each receiver offers a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack output and two balanced mini-XLR connectors. The transmitter and receiver boast an integrated gain switch with settings at -20 dB, 0 dB, or +20 dB.

Don’t worry about wild menus and lengthy manuals, the AudioMatrix X8 is built to be simple and highly functional. Thanks to the plenteous included accessories, you won’t have the unfortunate surprise of having to pick up more parts to use the system.

Whether you’re a musician, presenter, or sound engineer at an office building, conference center, multi-room indoor event, or large outdoor event, consider making the AudioMatrix X8 the centerpiece of your portable wireless system.
