Yamaha Announces 2 New Lineups of Audio Gear: MGX Digital Mixers and URX Audio Interfaces

Yamaha has announced two new lineups of professional audio gear at NAMM in 2026: the URX series of audio interfaces and the MGX series of digital mixing consoles.

The URX series is their newest batch of professional/prosumer-level audio interfaces, offering significantly greater quality and flexibility when compared to entry-level interfaces—all while retaining a compact and intuitive design. All three URX models come standard with onboard DSP mixing tools and effects integrated into their touchscreen GUIs, a touch panel interface, and a series of physical tactile knobs for fast and easy workflow. They also come bundled with a comprehensive suite of music production software from creative tools, audio management systems, and expansion tools, all backed by the trusted engineers at Yamaha and Steinburg.

The MGX series is the digital evolution of Yamaha’s highly regarded MG series of analog mixers, designed to deliver premium performance and sound quality while being flexible for a wide range of live and installed sound use-cases from podcasting/live streaming to music production and recording. The MGX also sports a touchscreen GUI and physical controls allowing for comprehensive routing and I/O options that can suit a wide variety of applications. The MGX series comes standard with digital features like Bluetooth audio input, a microSD slot, auto-gain, clip safe, and scene recall as well as the same DSP processing and music production software as bundled with the URX interfaces.

As a bonus, Yamaha has also announced the release of the PSR-E483 and PSR-E583 portable 61-key keyboards, intermediate-level instruments designed for aspiring musicians and at-home players. Both are fully featured touch-sensitive keyboards with nearly 900 instrument voices, 345 accompaniment styles, live control knobs and expression controls, and auto chord play.

With modern connectivity options like USB-C, app connectivity, and a robust DSP engine, the Yamaha PSR keyboards are powerful and affordable semi-professional instruments perfect for casual to intermediate players and piano students.
