The Sony Alpha a7R II Mirrorless Digital Camera will now have uncompressed 14-Bit RAW image capture, thanks to a firmware update that will be available on October 19, 2015. Dynamic Range is the difference between the brightest part of the scene and the darkest part. Our eyes can see 11 stops of difference between bright light and darkness; a camera can only see five stops. So what we see with our eyes we cannot always capture with a camera.
