Exciting new releases from Bescor include the FP-312 Bi-Color On-Camera Light with Digital Display, as well as the Bescor Grip 181 and Grip 182 series of Gripper Gooseneck light kits. Notable about the FP-312 is its compact form factor, suitable for on-camera use, yet packing enough punch to mount on stands. With 312 LEDs, half daylight and half tungsten, you can easily use the FP-312 in daylight, tungsten, and mixed lighting conditions without needing to use color-correction gels. A built-in dimmer enables flicker-free dimming down to 10% brightness at up to 60 fps.
Two dedicated adjustment knobs allow you to control the color temperature and brightness of the light’s output individually. The digital display on the FP-312 features a subdued, yet easily readable blue backlight and displays the color temperature, brightness level, and a battery gauge. The fixture itself also accepts two L-series batteries, and it can run on either one or two batteries. The two built-in battery plates allow for extended run time and hot-swapping batteries without turning the light off.
A filter slot accepts the included hard diffusion if you want to soften the beam pattern. Removable four-leaf articulating barndoors provide spill control, and you can interlock the doors together to create a seamless light baffle that prevents light from sneaking out between the doors, creating those unwanted slashes that require additional attention. Worth pointing out is the rail mounting system that allows you to stack multiple FP-312 units together to create a large array of light. The ¼"-20 mounting hole allows you to mount the light on your camera with the included ball adapter, while still being able to stack units together. Included in this kit is an AC power supply and a carry case to store and transport the fixture and accessories. The FP-312 is available by itself, or in a series of light kits with light stands allowing you to create a one-, two-, or three-point lighting setup.
The Gripper Gooseneck light kits come in a set of one or two with a sturdy metal gooseneck, a Bescor Gripper Clamp, and an FP-180 bi-color light with AC power supply for each light in the kit. This basic configuration provides a flexible light-mounting kit for flat surfaces, pipes, and even light stands. The FP-180 light is small, and can be set in almost any position with the gooseneck, so you can snake the fixture just where you need it to be. As with the FP-312, the FP-180 is variable from tungsten to daylight and can be dimmed to 10% brightness. Kit configurations range from the simple gooseneck, clamp, light, and power supply, to kits that also include batteries—one- or two-light configuration, stands—one- or two-light configuration, or both batteries and stands in a one- or two-light configuration.
Take advantage of these new releases from Bescor to provide you with more flexibility and ease in surmounting the lighting challenges you face every production day.
