Atomos Blazes Forward with the Ninja Inferno

Just in time for the next wave of Cameras hitting the shelves comes the Ninja Inferno. This on-camera monitor/recorder is similar to its older brother, the Shogun Inferno, because it allows you to monitor in Log using AtomHDR, record in Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR in 10-bit with 4:2:2 color sampling at up to 60p. Featuring a 7", 1500 NIT touchscreen, it is viewable in daylight without requiring a lens hood.  Where it differs from the Shogun Inferno is that the Ninja Inferno does not support SDI, and is equipped with a single loop-through HDMI 2.0 input/output.

The HDMI input, as well as the support for DCI and UHD 4K at 23.98/24, 25, 29.97/30, 50, and 59.94/60p, makes the Ninja Inferno well suited for the soon-to-be-available Panasonic GH5, in addition to other cameras that output via HDMI. With built-in anamorphic de-squeeze and supporting log formats that include Panasonic Vlog, Sony SLog 2/SLog 3, Canon C-Log/C-Log2, Arri Log C, JVC JLog, and Red LogFilm, as well as support for a variety of color gamuts including Panasonic, Sony, Canon, Arri, BT2020, DCI P3 and P3+, the Ninja Inferno is a valuable tool in virtually any shooting scenario. Balanced audio is supported via an optional XLR-breakout cable, and the included caddies allow you to choose from select SSDs for recording 4K. The new Ninja Inferno: the tool you need to monitor and record HD and 4K video at up to 10-bit.
