SmallRig has new tripod and monopod offerings, bringing their popular one-touch deployment technology to the monopod space with the SmallRig x Potato Jet TRIBEX PRO X-Clutch hydraulic monopod, available in four versions with different head and feet configurations. All versions have a quick-deploy X-Clutch for adjusting three height stages with a single squeeze. SmallRig is also releasing an Ultra-Light Travel Tripod made for videographers, plus a Reverse-Folding Travel Tripod aimed at photographers.
The SmallRig x Potato Jet TRIBEX PRO Monopod is designed for portability and stability, with carbon fiber and aluminum construction. The monopod has a working height range of 25.9 to 57.9” and weighs 2.2 lb. The three-section legs support up to 55 lb and have a hybrid ¼”-20 and 3/8”-16 top screw to mount a variety of heads, alongside two 1/4"-20 anti-twist accessory threads. Squeeze the X-Clutch handle and adjust all three stages at once, helping you reach your desired height in seconds. Final load capacity will depend on which head is being used.
The Ultra-Light Travel Video Carbon Fiber Tripod with Fluid Head weighs just 1.7 lb thanks to its lightweight carbon fiber build. There are five extendable leg sections and three-position leg adjustments, plus a fluid head for smooth pans and tilts. The working height range is an impressive 6.4 to 53.8”, and the tripod folds down to 17.7” for storage. The integrated head can support up to 6.6 lb, with the center column helping reduce vibrations and improve stability.
Finally, the Reverse-Folding Travel Photography Aluminum Tripod with FH10 Head is ideal for photography and basic video shooting. Expect a working height range of 10.5 to 74.9” and a weight of 4.2 lb. It can support up to 13.2 lb and is made of strong aluminum. The feet are interchangeable, there’s an integrated leveling bowl that supports ±15° of quick leveling, and the tripod can be converted into a monopod. The reverse-folding design allows it to reach over six feet high while still folding down to just 24.3”.
