An Ultra HD studio camera that fits into the palm of your hand, the Blackmagic Design Micro Studio Camera 4K packs professional features, an active Micro Four Lens mount, and expandability into a miniscule body that virtually disappears on set. The camera’s native Ultra HD image sensor supports 3840 x 2160 video at up to 30 fps and 1080p video at up to 60 fps, outputting a 10-bit 4:2:2 signal over 6G-SDI to a compatible switcher. The camera can be fully remote-controlled from an ATEM switcher via SDI and offers studio features such as a built-in color corrector, talkback, tally indicator, PTZ control output, and B4 lens control output.
Equipped with an active MFT mount, the Micro Studio Camera 4K accepts a wide range of compact native MFT lenses, or even traditional broadcast lenses by adding a B4 lens adapter. Due to the size of the camera, there is no built-in monitor, but an HDMI port is provided for external monitoring. Additional connectivity includes the SDI program input, SDI output, 3.5mm audio input, headphone jack, an unique expansion port that offers multiple control connections via an included breakout cable, including PTZ and B4 lens control outputs so you can remote-control remote heads and broadcast lenses all from a single SDI connection. It also includes LANC and reference inputs, as well as a DC power input.
The Micro Studio Camera 4K can be powered using a standard 12 to 30V DC power supply, such as the included AC power adapter. It can also be powered using a single Canon LP-E6 type battery, which can serve as the main power source or as a backup so your live feed won’t go down should the power cable get accidently disconnected. For onboard camera control, there are buttons along the front of the camera, giving you access to power, menu navigation, and settings. The menu system is viewable on a connected HDMI monitor. For mounting, the camera features three ¼"-20 mounting threads on the bottom, and one on top.
