Capture broadcast-ready, behind-the-scenes (BTS) video and much more with Panasonic's new UHD 4K60p HC-X2000, HC-X1500, and AG-CX10 camcorders. With broadcast-compatible frame rates, these compact, lightweight cameras are the perfect choice for run-and-gun work or for integrating additional footage with your Panasonic A-camera footage.
Designed around a 1/2.5"-type 8.29M MOS sensor, each camcorder captures 4K images, which are scalable via their Venus processing engines for full HD delivery. All offer live streaming using their built-in Wi-Fi and can output via HDMI, with the HC-X2000 and AG-CX10 also sporting a 3G-SDI (BNC) output. Capture options include 4K60p 4:2:0 10-bit recording with the efficient HEVC codec at rates up to 200 Mb/s, up to 4K30p in 4:2:2 10-bit video, and up to 120 fps in full HD for revealing, super slo-mo shots. For more advanced IP networking, turn to the AG-CX10, which features a built-in Ethernet connection, NDI|HX connectivity, and ROP tablet-based control.
Each of these new camcorders incorporates a wide 25mm, 24x optical Leica Dicomar zoom that features flare and ghosting suppression. The optical zoom range is an impressive 25 to 600mm (35mm equivalent) in 4K and expands to 32x in 4K and 48x in HD with the i.ZOOM function. The two manual control rings for focus and iris are sized differently for quick hands-on use without taking your eye from the camera. Easily switch between four ND filter settings right on the lens to compensate for very bright environments or to use a slower shutter speed for blurred effects. All three models keep your talent sharp with Panasonic's fast Face Detection AF, and you can track subjects including the use of color recognition with the integrated 3.5" touchscreen LCD.
Suiting the nature of run-and-gun and POV capture, each camcorder incorporates 5-axis optical image stabilization (OIS) for smooth, steady shots. The Ball OIS even corrects subtle, handheld shake when shooting at the far end of the 24x optical zoom range.
Another distinguishing feature of these camcorders is the new, detachable VW-HU1 Handle, included with the HC-X2000 and AG-CX10. This dual-XLR audio input module has an easy-to-grip handle for low-mode shots, a mic holder, a cold shoe, and an integrated, dimmable light for a quick and easy light-level boost. HC-X1500 users can add this separately available handle when they're ready to upgrade their audio options to include the pro-style XLR inputs. Each camcorder also incorporates features like dual SD card slots, focus peaking and one-push AF, simultaneous viewfinder and LCD screens, and a battery life of up to 4.5 hours with the included battery.
