Today, Garmin debuted the VIRB 360, its first-ever foray into the exciting world of immersive 360-degree video. Building on the established prestige of the VIRB-series action cams, the new VIRB 360 is a compact, ruggedized, waterproof action cam capable of shooting stunning 5.7K video unstitched (or 4K stitched). The VIRB 360 uses front and rear wide-angle lenses and four separate microphones to capture everything around you, including detailed sound, so you can stream, capture, and play back your entire adventure in complete, 360-degree detail.
With the VIRB 360, there’s little to no post production required. Stitching is done on the device, so you can stream it right away to Facebook and YouTube, or using the VIRB Mobile App. Of course, free Garmin software is available if you want to edit your footage or add G-Metrix overlays for an augmented reality effect. Beyond video, the VIRB 360 can also shoot 15MP spherical photos, with various capture modes including single shot, burst, time lapse, and more.
A sunlight-readable display, simple one-touch button controls, and even voice commands make the VIRB 360 incredibly user-friendly. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ANT+, and NFC connectivity options, and its built-in battery provides a full hour of recording. To save and store footage, the VIRB 360 supports microSD cards up to 128GB. Best of all, the VIRB 360 supports both Android and iOS devices, so everyone will be able to shoot and enjoy immersive 360-degree footage.
The VIRB 360 arrives with several useful accessories in tow, including various battery accessories, lens kits, cradles, mounts, tripods, and more. Pick up any of these accessories and the brand-new VIRB 360 now, at the B&H Photo SuperStore.
