If you’re looking to upgrade your production with a 6K full-frame cinema-style look, Kinefinity has just released two large-format cameras, the MAVO mark2 S35 and the MAVO mark2 LF. The brand has also created two new Agile Pack camera kits that include accessories for the S35 and LF models. The MAVO mark2 S35 updates the original MAVO Edge line with a brand new 6K S35 CMOS sensor that provides frame rates up to 96 fps at 6K resolutions. The MAVO mark2 LF provides the same large-format full-frame CMOS sensor as the MAVO Edge 6K, with plenty of internal and external updates.
The MAVO mark2 cameras provide updated firmware for improved performance over the previous MAVO models, and they both feature dual SDI outputs that also pass metadata. The storage bandwidth has been increased to capture footage in high-quality ProRes 4444/XQ format with Kine LOG3 gamma onto a super-fast KineMAG Nano with an NVMe M.2 2280 SSD, allowing for a quick, simplified workflow on workstations with the latest technology, such as the Apple M1/Pro/Max/Ultra chips.
MAVO mark2 S35
If you prefer to utilize the extensive variety of S35 lenses, the S35 model allows you to capture up to 6K96 and 4K150 resolutions and frame rates, with much more efficient overall performance than its predecessors. It features 3200/800 dual native ISO for better low-light performance and sharper details in shadows and highlights.
MAVO mark2 LF
For full-frame productions, the MAVO mark2 LF features the same 3:2 CMOS sensor as the Edge 6K and provides up to 6K75 resolutions and frame rates. It features 5120/800 dual native ISO that provides superior low-light performance with cinematic looks in complex lighting.
Lens Mount Options

In addition to supporting E, EF, PL, and LPL lens mount options with their versatile KineMOUNT, the cameras now also support Active PL and Active Sony E -mount adapters with a positive locking design, without requiring flange-distance calibration. The mounts support electronic communication between the lens and camera: the Active PL mount supports the Cooke /i protocol, and the Active Sony E mount provides metadata on a user display, as well as saving the lens information on your footage.
Hardware Features and Camera Accessory Kits
The camera body has been streamlined, and it features an even lighter, more compact form, weighing only 3.2 lb. It also features various ports including timecode sync and RS-232 serial control to support third-party controllers. Its battery plate can support both V-mount and BP-U batteries, providing a great choice for professional, high-performance power whether you’re shooting in the studio or on a gimbal.
New Agile Pack kits have also been created for each camera, which include the S35 or LF model camera, a carbon fiber top handle, an ultra-bright KineMON 5U II touchscreen monitor, a new KineBAT99 package with two batteries and a charger, and a KineMAG Nano 1TB SSD. You can also utilize the optional KineEVF2 viewfinder, or you can utilize a variety of accessories from third-party brands originally designed for the MAVO Edge product line.
