Selecting AD Converters (Analog/Digital)
An analog-to-digital audio converter changes analog signals that pass through it into digital format. AD converters are used in digital audio systems and with sound recording equipment. Before choosing AD or digital format converters, note the type of digital or analog equipment you’re using and check for compatibility.
Differences Between DAC and AD Converters
Digital audio converters are used for devices such as cell phone video cards and digital cameras or camcorders. Digital-to-analog audio converters break down and rebuild signals until they find the correct bandwidth. DACs are often a vital part of computer audio interfaces and systems.
