A picture frame is both a protective and decorative housing for a photograph. Photo frames usually have a clear front panel held together in a housing made of various other materials such as wood or metal. A frame surface may be any color or texture and also come in a variety of sizes as well. There are also float frames that are designed in such a way that the photo gains a sense of three-dimensional depth.
