The 60 mm Monarch Fieldscope Objective Lens Unit from Nikon is the main part of the Monarch fieldscope's Hybrid Body System. Using the Objective Lens Unit you can attach several interchangeable modules, including straight and angled viewing prisms, and digiscoping attachments for cameras. This modular system allows you to customize the scope, or to add versatility, depending on your needs and preferences.
Nikon equips the Objective Lens Unit with extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements that enhance light transmission and minimize chromatic aberration. It also has a field flattener lens system that reduces field distortion and ensures edge-to-edge sharpness. The Objective Lens Unit's fully multicoated optical path transmits high-contrast images that are color faithful and rich with detail throughout the focal range.
In addition to its high-transmission optics, the Monarch fieldscope objective unit features a Dual Trans focus system that is capable of quick and precise focusing using only one focus ring. A rubber armored housing as well as a generously sized focus ring with rubberized ridges help you maintain your grip on the focus ring while wearing gloves or when conditions get wet. The Objective Lens Unit is nitrogen-filled and o-ring sealed for water and fogproof performance.
