It can be used with other brands that utilize a 75mm half ball. I use it with a Siriu and Gitzo.

It cannot. This is designed to work with flat base tripod heads that have a 3/8"-16 connection.

Will I be able to level this ball head (for the purpose of bubble balancing the tripod head) when I attach it to a tripod base (such as the Benro A673TM Aluminum Tandem-Leg tripod)? I dont believe the description specifies if the level is adjustable, or does that depend on the capability of the tripod base/legs?
This 75mm Half Ball Adapter allows you to use Heads that have a standard 3/8 -16 thread on a tripod with a 75mm Bowl. Part of the 75mm system is that you are able to adjust the head to balance it on the base, this will be true when using an adapter like this with or a full one 75mm ball base head.

Is the stem on this strong enough to use as a baby pin to fit into a standard grip head so I can mount a camera to it instead of using a hi-hat? Is there metal in it?
No, we would strongly recommend against trying to rig such a solution, as these are not reliable at all with this type of application.
