question
While shooting video with a compatible 1.8 or 2.8 lens using auto focus, would the aperture be fixed at 3.5 or can be stopped down to 1.8/2.8 ?
The adapter has full electronic transfer of Amount lenses. If your camera model has the ability to change f/stop while shooting video it will still retain that feature.

question
Hello everybody. Just wanted a definite answer about this using A-mount lenses from a third party makers. i want to throw a sigma 35mm 1.4 Art series on the adapter for autofocus on my Sony A7 , will it work properly like autofocus and using as well as changing the Aperture . Just want a final word on the subject since there is alot of contradicting information on that Interweb. Thanks Alex
You will be able to use third party A-mount lenses, such as a Sigma lens, on the Sony A-Mount to E-Mount lens adapter with Translucent Mirror Technology, so long as the lens in question is for Sony A-Mount. This adapter will allow TTL phase detection autofocus, as well as auto exposure and aperture drive.

question
The same question as with la-ea3:can you use focus magnifier (enlarging the image in manual focus mode) with this adapter ? With la-ea1 it is possible but with la-ea2 enlarging the image in MF mode is not possible ?!Should be the same with full frame adapters, at least I think so:la-ea3 possible, la-ea4 not possible.
Yes, just like the LA-EA3 adapter, the LE-EA4 will also permit the use of focus magnifier/peek focusing when shooting in MF mode.

question
HiIm looking at buying the QX-1 from sony (yet to be released) but currently have an Sony a77 with Sigma lens (forgot the exact one). Will I be able to mount my future A lenses with the QX1 using this adapter? I do not want to buy 2 different styles of lenses.Would I be better of buying e-mount lenses and converting to a mount or the other way around. I thought form A-> e is the better option (plus I have existing A lenses already).
Yes, the Sony A Mount to E Mount adapter (LAEA4) will allow you to mount Sony A mount lenses on the QX-1. If you already have existing A mount lenses, there isn't really any need to start buying E mount lenses if your plan is to use those A mount lenses with this adapter.

Will this work with Sony DT 16–80 on A7III?
Will this work with Sony DT 16–80 on A7III?
My sony A5000 is an e-mount. This lens adapter allows me to use sony A-mount lenses (more of them - has been around longer) on my sony e-mount camera. If your camera is an E-mount, this will work if you desire to use any of the A-mount lenses.
