Epson PP-50II overview

  • 1Description

The Epson PP-50II Discproducer offers fast, reliable automated CD and DVD production. It has a fast publishing speed of up to 15 CDs or 8 DVDs every hour. The PP-50II does this with a high-speed USB 3.0 connection. Also, it can hold up to 50 discs for batch processing.

The PP-50II's 6-cartridge individual ink system keeps the cost-per-produced-disc low. This also provides the ink for quality 1440 x 1440 dpi printing. And for accuracy there is the AcuGrip robotic arm to ensure only one disc is grabbed at a time. It also offers individual ink level sensors and status readings for all functions.

As it is compact and fully stackable, the Discproducer also has valuable space-saving benefits for organizations with large-scale disc publishing needs. Total Disc Maker software is included, which provides advanced functions such as the read back file location tool, for filename or content backup as well as auto copying a full stack of 50 discs. Additionally, the merge print feature allows for printing of database content on each disc during batch production.

Included with the Discproducer is Total Disc Maker software that includes disc editing, label editing, and publishing functions. There is also optional Total Disc Bridge software for developers to use their own applications with the Discproducer.

    Epson PP-50II reviews

PP-50II Discproducer is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Provides Trouble-free Production of High Quality DVDs I've used this to produce hundreds of DVDs. The software for burning the DVD and applying the printed titling and graphics works great. Lots of flexibility. Haven't had a bad burn yet. Ink lasts a long time. I bought two replacement sets of ink and am still on the original cartridges. After not using it for several months, I ran a batch of 50 DVDs. I expected to encounter some ink problems, such as dried out nozzles. No problems at all, perfect print. It's heavy, runs quietly. Needs to be tethered to your computer. Burns and prints unattended. Yes, I'd buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best System I have ever had!!!! So I have been making Discs now for many years. Its always been a pain to burn then print, takes so much time. I have had a Bravo device and all it seems to do is jam, or lock up and not print very clean. So I just got this smaller unit as I only make approx 50 discs at a time. SO let me tell you, the set up (I use a MAC) was software all of 3 minutes. The software is straight forward, you click where you want the files to load from to burn, then next design label and then how many. Thats it, took me less than 10 minutes and the first disc was burning. It was done is approx 8 minutes popped it into a player to check and works like a charm. I then loaded up a stack of DVD's and started it up, didn't even really know it was working so quite. The printer is so high quality, unreal best I have ever seen. As I get older I want to focus more on shooting video and not post work, this unit allows me to do just that. This is built like a tank, you pay for what you get. Its cost more but its well worth it. its an investment, the ink will last for approx 1000 Discs. Costs less to operate than any of the other units on ink and prints so much sharper and photo realistic. Also the newer unit the DVD drive is user replaceable. Was looking at the Blue-ray device, but my customers won't spend the extra, so will keep doing what has been making me money. Once you have one of these you will wonder why you ever waited so long.
