What is the avg number of printed discs per ink cartridge?
For a full set of ink cartridges you should be able to get, approximately 1,000 discs. This can change based off the quality and what you are printing.

Does this device electronically expire its ink cartridges when they reach a certain age, thus rendering the remaining ink unusable?
I think we pretty much run them dry, or until we notice quality shift. Seems to use the cartridge pretty well - each cor is independent, but may not print if one is empty.

Does the Epson print the ISO file format?
I have not created DVDs with the ISO image and I don't see it in the setup menu. I do see Create an ISO image . I use the Video_TS file format created in Sony DVD Architect authoring software, which works great for the Epson.
