    Billingham SP40 reviews

SP40 Leather Shoulder Pad (Chocolate) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 47.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems superfluous, but really helpful. Yes, I know it's pricey, but the photos of this shoulder pad do not do it justice. The padding is just right, and the quality is outstanding. There is enough grip on the padded side to keep the strap from falling off the shoulder, and while it's made of quality, durable materials, it isn't exceedingly heavy, nor bulky. I use this on my Billingham Hadley Pro bag. I initially wasn't going to pay the extra, but I purchased two AVEA 5 bags to add to the Hadley Pro, whenever I needed to carry more, and felt the shoulder pad would provide welcomed comfort, if I'd decided to use all the bags and fill them with stuff. I'm glad I didn't skimp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential accessory I waited diligently for this shoulder pad to be restocked, and I'm glad I did. Like the Billingham Hadley Pro to which it is attached, the shoulder pad is impeccably made, without a single errant stitch. The padding is comfortable, and the underside of the pad has just the right amount of grip. The width is perfect, too; unlike shoulder pads on cheap duffel bags, this pad won't twist around on the strap. It makes the Hadley Pro an even better bag without detracting from its aesthetics -- in fact, it arguably makes the bag look better. The only problem with the shoulder strap is that it should have been included with the bag in the first place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Billingham changed the gripper bottom for the worse. Billingham has been high on my list of quality shoulder bags for the past decades. They are excellent, quality of workmanship is first class and I have been happy with everything so far until I recently got this expensive $46 shoulder pad. These shoulder pads always had a very good gripper bottom and they never slid off my shoulder. But this recent one does not have the good gripper bottom any longer and keeps sliding off my shoulder, they changed it for the worse. Why?? It is now an expensive worthless piece of garbage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made and does the job I bought a Hadley Pro bag for my mirrorless kit, and while the bag was perfect for my camera and four lenses, the 1.5 bare strap was uncomfortable on my shoulder after a few minutes of carrying the bag around. So I ordered the SP40 to spread and cushion the load, which it does quite well. It is very well made, like all Billingham products, and an attractive addition to the bag as well. My only complaint is that for the cost of the Hadley Pro, a shoulder pad should have been included with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A thing of beauty I recently received a small Billingham Hadley bag as a gift, with only the canvas shoulder strap. I wanted to add a shoulder pad for greater comfort, and the Billingham Web site suggested the SP40. (Please note that the B&H site makes a different recommendation for this bag.) This pad is both beautiful and comfortable, made from heavy leather that looks and smells like a fine saddle, and with a contoured foam pad for greater comfort. It snaps securely onto the Hadley's canvas strap, enhancing both its appearance and comfort. I highly recommend this as an add-on to your Billingham bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my Billingham Bag I use this on my Billingham Hadley Small to carry my Leica gear. The padding is comfortable, non-slip, and the leather matches the bag perfectly; very classy. It also feels comfortable around my neck and across my chest when you need a more secure carry.I would certainly buy this again and recommend it to all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must Buy! Yes, it is not cheap, but it worth the money you spend. Very good quality, very thick pad, and very comfortable. It is good to pad your shoulder or chest while look really stylish! A must buy! Don't buy SP15, it is old version of this one, and it doesn't come with thick pad. SP40 or SP50 is the better choice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Shoulder Pad I use the pad with my Billingham Pro bag. It is great because it makes the bag more comfortable. It is not so great that you only find out about it after you buy the bag and have to drop another $bucks. C'mon Billingham, have a little mercy.
