Will this be compatible with the new Mac Pro 2019?
I would assume the new Mac Pro has USB 3.0 ports. I purchased this to add USB 3 ports to my 2009 Mac Pro which had only USB 2.0.

What data transfer speeds are people getting with this card? I installed it on my Mac Pro 5,1 and the Black Magic speed test is only showing about 80-90 MB/s on a fairly new Western Digital USB3.0 external SSD. The Samsung SSD I have in the other PCIe slot is getting around 1300MB/s so I know it's not the computer. Western Digital's specs for this SSD are up to 5gbps. I was expecting at least around 500MB/s with this card.
We haven't tested it in your scenario. But the max theoretical limit of USB 3.1 Gen 1 is 625MB/s. You may wish to try your WD SSD on another port, not using this card and/or on another computer.
