Elvid SHOE-HD Overview

Add a monitor to your video recording system with this aluminum Heavy-Duty Camera Shoe Mount Adapter with Ball Head from Elvid. This convenient accessory mounts directly to a camera's shoe mount and allows for the attachment of a full array of video accessories. Specifically meant to attach monitors or small lights to your camcorder or camera while shooting video, this ball head has a single locking knob for fast and safe operation, and is easily removable.

Accessories attach via the 1/4"-20 screw thread on top, and the bottom features a removable shoe mount and a 3/8" thread. The shoe mount itself is removable and features its own 3/8"-16 mounting screw, in case you want to use it without the ball head.

Note:
Due to its compact design, this ball head should not be used to support a camera.
Removable shoe mount on bottom and 1/4"-20 screw on top allows for multiple applications
Single locking knob for safe and fast operation

Had to bust out the pliers when this thing got stuck on the shoe mount on my top handle. Shoe mount in the trash. Kept the top though

Is it easy to turn/swivel - such as to face mic toward speaker - without loosening lock, and without base getting loose?

The only way to swivel or turn the Elvid Heavy-Duty Camera Shoe Mount Adapter is by loosening the locking knob. If you try to swivel while the knob is tightened, it will start to unscrew the ball head from the base.

The bottom of the Elvid Shoe Mount is female 3/8. (after you remove the shoe mount part of the unit) You would need to create some type of 3/8 male to 3/8 male adapter
