Complementing the optical attributes, this lens also distinguishes itself with a POWER Optical Image Stabilizer, which minimizes the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting. A stepping AF motor and internal focus design also offer fast and near-silent focusing performance that is ideal for both photo and video applications.

Amazing candid portrait lens

I put this amazing lens on a GH7 camera and took point and shoot like multiple head pictures of each of my colleagues. At the line for food before the college departmental meeting. Told them to ignore me or talk to me, but not pose. Every third picture or so was incredibly, professionally good. Expression, eye focus, separation, smooth bokeh. We'll replace the directory wanted like mugshots with these.  Drawback? Makes it look too easy. Can't pretend that you planned the great shots. (But you did choose the right lens). I now carry the camera with this lens, and to complete it the 8-18 Lumix Leica zoom, grand total 3 lbs, always with me to school, near my laptop.

I use my G9II for video mostly and I got this lens for single subject, interview type video and I must say that it is one of the best lenses that I have ever used for this purpose. First, it is tack sharp, and focuses very quickly. Second, because of the large aperture, I can video in medium to low light without having to use a high ISO. The aperture also creates a very smooth and natural background blue/bokeh. I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

Yes, the lens is compatible with the Olympus Pen F.The lens has image stabilization so you have options when using it on the Pen F as to which takes priority.

For some reason my BMPCC4K stopped to recognize ...

For some reason my BMPCC4K stopped to recognize the image stabilization and the F/1.2 (it reaches to F/1.3). Is this a common problem with the lens ? If yes is there any known fix about it ? If not, what would you suggest of me doing in order to solve the problem ?

This is not a common problem but the best course of action would be to make sure both the camera and the lens are updated to the most recent firmware and to be sure the pin connection is clean. If all of those have been done and the problem persists, it is most likely a problem with the mechanism in the lens.

Would the Lens Power IS circuit communicate to a G85 camera body when using Vello Deluxe Auto Focus Extension Tube Set for Micro Four Thirds Mount ?

Electronic communication is maintained between the camera and lens with B&H # VEEXTMFTD. The Optical Image Stabilization should still work with this lens and that adapter.

Does this lens support panning IS mode (vertical stabilization only)? One person reported the IS mode menu is grayed out on GH5 for this lens so he can't select the panning IS mode.

It sounds like you are referring to the Dual IS ability the GH5 has.The lens does need to have IS which that one does. And it is listed as compatible with the GH5 and Dual IS.
