is there a short cable (4" max) that can be used in place of the original cables? I need to plug in a small wireless receiver and the original cables are too big.
No since its a proprietary connector on the cable , we dont sell 4'' of cable for this Audio Technica Headphone you might have to contact Audio Technica direct to see it they have the short cable.

Had these almost a year now...I bought them for my weekly radio show, but my 12 year-old has been using them daily for his on-line classes (for hours). He is NOT easy on them. So far, no peeling whatsoever. Still look/sound/feel great. Oh, and he did chew through the chord, but...bought a replacement chord for $29 and we're back in business.
