The Vello Speedy Camera Rotating Flash Bracket with TTL Off-Camera Flash Cord for Canon EOS Cameras (1.5') Kit from B&H Photo combines a lightweight flash bracket and flash cord to give you the benefits of setting up an off-camera flash with full TTL capabilities.The Speedy Bracket is a quick, simple way to switch between vertical and horizontal view with your camera using a shoe mount flash, without missing a shot or changing the look of your light. The bracket smoothly rotates your camera, easily switching between horizontal and vertical positions, while keeping your flash stationary and centered above the lens at all times. It is designed so that you can use your camera's own grip to shoot photos. The Speedy Bracket's cushioned bracket arm can also double as a comfortable carrying handle.
The included Canon EOS compatible TTL off-camera flash cord provides photographers with the ability to fire off-camera Canon compatible speedlights. Mounting a camera on the Speedy Bracket with the TTL cord removes harsh shadows when shooting in portrait mode, and reduces red-eye altogether, while maintaining TTL capabilities.
One side of the TTL cord fits directly into the camera's hot shoe to ensure that all of the camera's exposure data is maintained. The other side fits onto the Speedy Bracket, where your flash will be attached.
This coiled cord measures 1.5' (0.5 m), which is an ideal distance to accommodate the Speedy Bracket.

Will this unit support the use of Canon 100-400 L IS II and Canon Speedlite 600 EX-II RT mounted to Canon 90D?

When the bracket is in vertical mode, how much space is between the bracket base (that the camera sits on and the handle?
The Vello Speedy Camera Rotating Flash Bracket has a 6 inch clearance from the base plate to the handle when in the vertical position. Therefore it would not be recommended for a camera with a battery grip.

I have a Manifrotto 322rc2 Joystick head that I use with my tripod. Would this bracket work with that head on my tripod and the quick release for it on my camera.
