This is everything needed to get started shooting with strobes and for staying mobile.
The Standard flash heads are small, portable units that provide flash durations as short as 1/5,700 second, useful for action and freezing motion. This works well with the battery-powered 400W/s power packs to provide a mobile shooting solution. This kit also comes with a spare llithium-ion battery so that you can be prepared.
Also featured is the Skyport Speed Transmitter with sync cable. This allows for remote communication and control over your lighting setup. There are also two battery charger, two 8.2' flash cables, and a ProTec bag with shoulder strap for carrying and storage.
The RQ Hybrid A Flash Head by Elinchrom is a powerful, full- functioning miniaturized flash head which is perfectly mated to the 400W/s Ranger Quadra Hybrid battery-powered pack. At only 0.55 lb and measuring a mere 5.9 x 3.3 x 3.1", the head not only packs well and is eminently portable, but is mountable in situations that would be impossible for a full-sized flash head.
What really distinguishes the head is its "A" designation for Action, or more to the point, freezing action. The specially designed Omega flash tube is capable of flash durations as short as 1/5,700 sec. - fast enough to catch and freeze movement at its peak. The Hybrid A Head does away with conventional halogen modeling lamps in favor of a low-draw PilotLight LED that produces the tungsten equivalent of 50-60W, depending on your choice of the standard, included 70 degree or optional 55 degree reflector. Elinchrom also offers the EL-RQ adapter for those who want to use standard full-sized accessories and reflectors. The head comes with a removable 8.2' head cable, while optional 5.0' and 11.5' cables are available.
The Elinchrom Quadra Hybrid RX AS battery powered pack delivers an impressive 400W/s of power in a small package that weighs only 4.4 lb including its Lithium-ion battery. Besides power it offers speedy recycling in 0.36 to 2.0 seconds with flash durations as short as 1/5,700 sec. And speaking of speed, you can utilize the pack's built-in radio receiver with the purchase of the optional EL-Skyport Speed Transmitter. The transmitter has 8 channels and can handle 4 groups of flash units. It not only allows you to trigger your pack at distances up to 393' but gives you control of power, on/off, modeling light functions and Speed Sync activation. Free software for Mac and PC computers is available when you purchase the transmitter, adding additional features such as Flash-Delay for strobing effects. Add an optional USB Wi-Fi module for computer control and software that allows you to use specially designed apps that offer full remote control via your for iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

The Elinchrom Ranger Quadra Li-Ion Battery Charger allows you to use higher capacity, lightweight Li-Ion batteries in your Quadra. The multi-voltage charger features high security circuitry and includes a mains cable.
The Elinchrom Quadra Li-Ion Battery is the ideal solution for all existing Ranger Quadra users. With this reduced size battery, the Ranger Quadra becomes more portable than ever! It now weighs 2.2 lb than the previous pack/battery combination but offers up to 320 flashes at full power with improved recycling time.
Using the Elinchrom Skyport SPEED Transmitter you can control basic functions of Elinchrom units such as the BXRI 250/500, Ranger Quadra and D-Lite-it with the built-in ELS Receiver, and Elinchrom RX units to which a Transceiver RX (not included) is attached. To control all RX functions of Style RX, Ranger RX, Ranger Quadra RX (only Ranger Quadra RX with serial numbers from 4001 onwards) and Digital RX from a computer, the USB Transceiver RX 19354/19348 (not included) and the latest EL Skyport software (not included) are required. With this software, additional features are available such as Strobing, Counter and more.
The Skyport remote control system works at distances up to 196' (60 m) indoors; up to 393' (120 m) outdoors, and up to 1/250s shutter speed. It can control flashes in 4 selectable workgroups, and there are 8 frequency channels. With 40-bit security, you get interference-free operation.
The Transmitter synchronizes remote flash units when each is fitted with either a "Universal" receiver (not included) that fits all flash brands or the Transceiver RX (not included) fitting Style RX, Digital RX and Ranger RX units or units with EL-Skyport Transceiver built-in (BXRi 250/500 & Ranger Quadra AS). The RX Transceiver also provides control over the power and modeling lamp of all Elinchrom RX flash units, directly from the Skyport Transmitter Speed. This transmitter uses a 3V lithium battery (CR2430).
The Elinchrom EL 11001 8' Head Cable for Quadra RQ Flashhead connects the RQ A / S Heads with the Ranger Quadra battery power pack. The standard flashhead cable supplied with each RQ Flashhead is 8' (2.5 m).
The black ProTec Poly Bag from Elinchrom is a new robust shoulder bag, which can safely carry, for example, two Elinchrom compacts, such as D-lite RX, BRX and Style 300 or 600RX. Alternatively, it can carry two Quadra battery packs and two Quadra heads with some accessories. For comfortably carrying the bag, there is a detachable shoulder strap and a top grip handle.
