The Vello V-Rig 5" Triple Shoe Bracket mounts onto a camera's accessory shoe in order to provide three additional accessory shoes for mounting lights, monitors, microphones, or other accessories. The entire bracket, including shoe mounts, is machined from a single piece of aluminum alloy for durability and strength. Also, in addition to the shoe mount, a 1/4"-20 thread is available for attaching the bracket to a tripod, rig, or another bracket featuring a 1/4"-20-threaded stud.

I need a bracket that has one hot connection on it for my flash, the others can be cold. I'm guessing this won't work?
Unfortunately no. The Vello V-Rig 5" Triple Shoe Bracket is a cold shoe bracket only.

Will this work with a Sony RX-100 VII AND a Rode VideoMic Pro (since the RX-100 Vii does not have a shoe)?
This will not work if the camera does not have a shoe mount.

No, that will not work. That bracket is a cold shoe adapter.And the controller to work needs to be attached to the camera via its hotshoe.

Just wondering if these things can be daisy chained - buy 2 and mount the 2nd in one of the 1st shoes?
Physically you would be able to connect one Vello V-Rig 4.1" Triple Shoe Bracket to one of the top three shoe mounts. However, you will have to be very careful with the weight of the items you use in that configuration. We also offer taller shoe brackets like the following if you were looking to add height.

Yes the Auray shock mount will fit in the middle, but other items may or may not fit the Vello Shoe Bracket at the same time.
