Protect your Spec Ops, Recon Force, Command Ops HD, or Patriot camera while it's left unattended in the field for days, weeks, or months with the Browning Trail Camera Security Box. Made of durable and strong steel, it attaches to a tree and virtually disappears thanks to its woodland camouflage exterior so it won't attract undue attention from game or passersby. With your camera installed in the box, you can lock it using a standard padlock of your choice. To make sure it doesn't get stolen, the box has mounting holes on the back plate so it can be screwed or bolted in place or use the holes on the side to temporarily secure it to a tree trunk using a cable-type lock like a Master Lock Python.

What Size python cable will work with this security box? what is the diameter of the lock holes in the box?
The back of your trail camera is equipped with built in security cable loops. These are perfect for using a locking steel cable or a 5/16" Python Cable. (Not included)

I just bought this box for a Patriot camera and ...
I just bought this box for a Patriot camera and found that the cable holes do not line up with the cable hole in the back of the camera. What is the deal?
The security box (BTC-SB) accommodates many models. For the Patriot you place the camera inside of the security box and you have the option of running the cameras strap through the back of the security box and camera to hold the camera more solidly in place or not. You would then use a 5/16" Python Cable and run it through the top holes on the side of the security box and around the tree. Lastly, you will use a padlock type lock on the front of the box to lock the camera inside.

Will a Browning Command Ops HD fit in this box?
Yes. It will easily fit in the security box . . .with room to spare. You will need to secure the camera to the box well and secure the front cover of the security box to the security box housing with more than just a padlock. I had 3 cameras stolen out of these boxes with the padlocks in place. They were able to pry up the cover enough to clear the metal tabs and remove the cameras without any damage to the security boxes. A security pin inserted through the box from side to side just above the top of the camera should prevent theft. Lesson learned.

does the unit have holes in back so it can be bolted right to the tree?
Yes there are two holes in vertical allignment in the center of the box that I think you can permanently mount the box. I am not sure why you would want to that as the box could be stolen without a python cable lock attached to it as well.
