question
I see that it can take a cover grid, but that size is 24' x 32' is the only that is sold. Will there a 24' x 36' be sold as well?
The softbox is not designed to take a grid. There are grids made by other companies 24x36 but it will not fit. You can try to attach it but you will need to rig it.

Could you put a Paul C Buff Einstein inside this, if you had the right mounting equipment? Or would that generate too much heat?
You could use a PCB Einstein inside the Impact Parabox Softbox (24 x 36") BH #IMPBSB2436.

question
Does the fact that the flash's slave sensor or a remote slave would be obscured by the front diffuser cause any problems with reception, output, etc?
No it does not effect it, but I have only used it with pocket wizards. Although this product looks like an interesting soft box option, I would not recommend this product. The box cannot tilt down more then about 20 degrees. It makes it extremely difficult to dial in your lighting.
