ASUS CP240 overview

  • 1Description

The CP240 24" Widescreen LED Backlit IPS Zero Client Cloud Display from ASUS comes equipped with a Teradici TERA2321 CPU and VMware PCoIP (PC over IP) functionality, allowing you to connect this monitor directly to a VMware-based environment. By connecting directly to a VMware environment, you have the ability to implement a virtual desktop infrastructure, which effectively eliminates the need to connect a separate PC to each monitor, as each monitor is able to connect to a central server.

The CP240 Cloud Display also comes equipped with a Full HD 1920 x 1080 display, a 5 ms response time, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, and a 250 cd/m² brightness rating. On the outside of the monitor you will find a variety of connectivity options, including one D-Sub port, one DVI-I port, audio input and output ports, and four USB 2.0 ports. You can also tilt, swivel, pivot, and adjust the height of the monitor to enhance viewing comfort.

ASUS CP240 with PCoIP
This ASUS display is a VMware Ready PCoIP (PC-over-IP) all-in-one monitor. With the built-in Teradici TERA2321 processor and on-board PCoIP (PC-over-IP) technology, the CP240 Zero Client Monitor integrates seamlessly with VMware based environments to become part of your Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution. The CP240's PCoIP remote desktop protocol allows each workstation to connect to a central server that hosts the operating systems and applications. This frees users and administrators from the burden of applying patches and updates or other routine PC maintenance tasks, simplifying desktop management and increasing security.
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
In a VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) environment, clients connect to desktop operating systems and applications running on virtual machines that are hosted on a central server.
Effortless IT Management
The CP240 Zero Client Monitor's Teradici PCoIP processor synchronizes administrative tasks and software updates seamlessly to give your business a highly efficient IT management system.
Secure Your Data
With PCoIP technology, all files and software are safely stored on the central server. This approach also means users only have internet access via a secure gateway, minimizing the risk of malware and other security issues.
All-In-One Design
The CP240 monitor is a standalone solution that needs no PC. This saves on additional infrastructure costs and provides your workforce with an all-in-one workstation.
Fast Data Transmission
Teradici PCoIP uses the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) for high-speed data transfers between the CP240 Zero Client Monitor and the remote host, which can help increase productivity.
AH-IPS Display
The ASUS CP240 features AH-IPS (Advanced High-Performance In-Plane Switching) display technology with wide 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles. AH-IPS ensures color shift is minimal even when viewed from extreme angles.
Full HD 1080p Screen
The ASUS CP240 has a Full HD 1080p (1920x1080) screen with enhanced color accuracy and improved backlight transmission. CP240 is also designed to be energy efficient, with low power consumption that reduces energy costs and helps protect the environment.
Ergonomically Designed
The ASUS CP240 is ergonomically designed with a full range of adjustments including tilt, pivot, swivel, and height. It is also compatible with 100 x 100 mm VESA mounts. These features mean the ASUS CP240 can be positioned easily for maximum user comfort.
Green Design
CP240 uses a mercury-free LED-backlit panel and corrugated cardboard packaging that uses at least 80% recycled material. And with its low power consumption, CP240 is not only environmentally friendly but can also help larger enterprises and public sector increase savings in energy costs.
