question

What is the Incandescent Watts equivalent to this light?
Asked by: Charles H.
Unknown. It would be ROUGHLY equivalent to ABOUT 450 Watts of hot tungsten / halogen light. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected]

question

where are the softboxes for the led 1000?
Asked by: rebecca
somewhere online I'd seen what appeared to be large shower caps that stretched over the front of the light for softening. I bought the barn doors to this LED & affix opal, 250, or 216 to the doors with pins & am happy with the result. it's not as pretty as a tungsten chimera but I love the versatility of this light

question

What is the best way to make this light tungsten? I don't see any drop in panels for color changes only diffusion.
Asked by: Joshua F.
Just buy some CTO gels and clip them on the barn doors.

question

If these were used to light artwork on smooth white illustration board, would there be a noticeable spotty pattern from the LEDs or will they need diffusion?
Asked by: Alan
Yes, David is correct. For example, if you had barndoors on this light, where the door shadow was cast on the wall, you would see a noticeable point-source effect. But without barndoors, and without a shadow to create problems, it should be fine. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected]
